About Me

I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on December 20, 1987. I came to this lovely country when i was a year-and-a-half so I consider myself American--thank you very much.
My mother, pregnant at the time with my sister, and I had nowhere to sleep back then. We would go from house to house seeking shelter from strangers. It was until we met our soon to be second mother, who lived in South Gate, that we finally settled in. It was difficult living in a single bedroom with three people, and later four when my sister was born. But I managed.
Her and my mother later became partners for life. Yes, they're lesbians. I have two moms. Dont ask me how I feel about it b/c honestly I woudnt know what to tell you. I've never had a dad. I know his name is Carlos. He's tall, rides motorcycles, and lives in Bolivia. He's never even seen me minus a few pictures we exchanged once via letters. To me, having two mothers is normal. Sure, I never learned how to play Football or Baseball or how to fight bullies in school, but the missed opportunities do not haunt me. Being around women all the time has given me a different mentality, which, ultimately, makes me somewhat of an anomaly.
So when it was time to go to High School, I knew I had to get as far away from her and her dictating manners as possible. So I decided to take a school bus every day at 5:45 in the morning and go all the way to North Hollywood. I chose a school called the Zoo Magnet. It was a great! It was small and confined in the evergreen beauty of Grifith Park. I wanted, at the time, to be a Zoologist. I wanted anything, really, to get away from my family. So it was wonderful that we got to go to the L.A. Zoo, which was next door to us, nearly every day and study the animals so closely. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I consider the school my birth-place.
I met thew greatest people there i'll ever meet. My two twin bestfriends Desean and Jiovan (MY BUNNIES!). They're my heroes honestly. If it wasn't for them, I might not have changed. I was a bud that needed to bloom and they helped me become the much stronger person I am today. Who knows if i'd still be alive...
So I graduated. I made so many good friends there like Manny, Marat, Allen, Hansel, Catie, Jessica, Taylor, Cindy, Yuri, and Andy from my bus. I love you guys to death!!!
I even got kicked out of my home once--haha I was caught sneaking out of my room at three in the morning. My step-mom called me when I was at my friends house and told me to never come back. I lived by myself for half a year in a small room. I depended on my own singular existence. There was times I didnt have any money to eat and i'd go to sleep (on the floor, for I had no bed) starving--crying to myself. I fell into a state of deppression. But I made it. It was a wake-up call. It only made me tougher.
