About Me

These things are horrendous. I tell you all about how lovely I am and then you click off my page making comments about how arrogant and 'up' myself I am. Well, never mind. I'm sure you'll have much more fun talking to some African prince/princess who will declare undying love to you for months on end.....Anyway, for those who have made it this far...well done! A bit about me....Well I am a parent. This is the most defining point about me. I have 8 year old twins, a boy and a girl, and a 2 year old son. If this wasnt punishment enough, I also have 2 step-sons who are 6 and 2 yrs old.I am currently living in London with my Other Half who I met from here! He brings so much light and laughter to my life and couldn't imagine not having him beside me. We have a manic household filled with books, films, noise and toys, and yet we are still sane (well ish!).My new job is that of a Trainee Assistant Practitioner in Radiotherapy and Oncology (bit of a mouthful), and I am very very excited about it! As i'm due to start in a couple of days, I can't put much more about it on here!I love science. I have studied various different 'sciences' for years, yet none has managed to stay in my sieve-like brain.Anyway, thats enough rubbish for now....sure they'll be more later.

Not very interesting I know, but then who likes writing nonsense about themselves really?

You Are Investigative

You don't let anyone sway your view without a sound argument. You have an investigative characteristic and you constantly ask questions. You may want to major in Engineering, Information Technology, or in any of the Sciences. You want to be a Biochemist, Engineer, or Information Scientist. Who Are You? My Interests

Science is my first love (besides children/boyfriend/family/friends/etc), and Smarties come a very close second. Nope actually I love them more! I love art/photography/books. I enjoy cooking but don't get the opportunity to do it much. I love to explore new things and experience new places. I would like to learn how to ride a motorbike (but am not allowed :( something about him not wanting me to die) anyway, and learn how to scuba dive! (only ever done it in a swimming pool but it just didnt feel exotic enough for me). I aim to travel the world at some point, and experience all the different cultures. (But that may have to wait until the squillions of children have moved out and I've cashed in his pension!)

I'd like to meet:

I'm happy to meet anyone and everyone, except those who are arrogant/ignorant/racist or just a plain idiot.I would be very interested to meet some of my fav artists and authors, but unfortunately that's unlikely to happen! Alternatively, I wouldn't mind meeting the 18 year old me and warning her of the dangers of getting married young! (I prob wouldn't have listened anyway!)

Music:

I like all sorts and my choices depend on my mood and the company i'm sharing. I will admit to owning a few embarrassing albums, but will only name them to those who will insult me properly! lol. My current favs are Muse, Fall Out Boy, and The Fray. OH, and of course MARILLION! (u happy now G??).Blackfield is another which has grown on since my recent forced exposure!

Movies:

I will watch most things, apart from Westerns. And if anyone ever tries to take me to see Lord of the F****** Rings, I will personally hurt you. Moving on....I have some favs, but they depend on my current state of mind, but I generally prefer comedys.

Television:

I don't watch much, despite it always being on, but I do enjoy Scrubs and Two Guys and a Girl. Both stupid light-hearted American sitcoms, but I love the distraction. Have recently watched an episode of Rescue Me (which was forced upon me) but admittedly I enjoyed it and looking forward to watching the remaining episodes. Oh and Huff is another which is incredibly amusing.

Books:

Reading is def a love of mine. I will read near enough anything that is put in front of me. I love Kathy Reiches and Patricia Cornwell (but feel I have 'over read' their books so need to take a break from their style). I have just finished reading The Traveller by John Twelve Hawks. I also enjoyed The Historian recently and others I can't remember! (I will add them later)

Heroes:

Ultimate hero....my mum. All those in the Emergency Services, those who fight for our country, individuals who overcome great obstacles in their lives, and those who go out and acheive their greatest ambitions.
