KARI SPIELER
Kari Spieler has always written her music in a true-to-herself kind of way. Somewhere between passionate vocals, meaningful lyrics, and beautiful melodies, is a picture of a girl just trying to make it. After playing the Poughkeepsie area coffeehouse circuit, Kari was fortunate enough to play with a variety of talented artists. Some of them include Sonya Kitchell, Bayside, The Black Maria, and Owen. "There is something that hits you in the gut when you watch her perform live." Says a good friend of Kari's, "I don't know. Its truly an indescribable feeling when she opens her mouth." As Kari continues to write and perform, she works on her techniques with Sloan Wainwright (a singer-songwritter and someone Kari looks up to.) It seems the word is getting loose about this young singer-songwriter as people like Mike Doughty have left comments like " Dig your smokey voice" on her myspace. Kari Spieler loves what shes doing now and cannot wait to move forward. Keep an ear open for what comes next.www.myspace.com/karispieler

JEREMIAH GLAZER
Jeremiah Glazer has been playing guitar for over 10 years in various rock and indie bands. His first band, Random Task, was one of the pioneer groups of the screemo movement, a genre that can now be heard across the nation and internet. Members of the band went on to play in other groups, including Steel Train and Armor for Sleep. While studying for a degree in Sociology his musical tastes changing dramatically. He began writing on his own and amassed a substantial collection of original acoustic folk/pop songs in the vein of Neil Young, Oasis, and Wilco. His live shows are few and far between, so if you get the chance to see him, you will be one of a lucky few. At these shows, he plays both originals and covers with a strong melodic sensibility. Jeremiah recently recorded a few of his songs and posted them on MySpace for public consumption. If you enjoy concise pop tunes and stripped down folk rock with acoustic guitar and harmonica, make sure to check him out.myspace.com/jeremiahbrian
