Groovemasta

Groovemasta got hooked on house music when he was only 17 years old. Inspired by the sets of Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, Frankie Feliciano, and Dylan Drazen. together with his friends Ivan Denev, Dj Yassek, and Tot-f, he founded the organization “Quattro” and started organizing parties at the clubs in Sofia. In 1999 he started work at the only DJ shop in Sofia at this time called Sector 10, thus, combining his work with his passion to play music at the Sofia’s bars at night. In 2002, just after the start of “Jazz FM” radio, he and DJ Yassek produced their own show called “Jazz In the House” in which every week they mixed house tracks with jazz tunes. Meanwhile, 2 years after the closing of Sector 10, Groovemasta again started a vinyl shop hidden in the basement of the shop for extreme sport equipment called Boardshop. In 2003, the “Adultempo” agency was founded with the joining of Alexander Scott, DJ Boro, DJ Desy, and DJ Vagabond. Numerous parties followed in clubs such as “Neo”, “No”, and “Lifehouse” –the last two of which soon turned in to residencies. These, as well as the cooperative work with the owner of the club “Lifehouse” DJ Giorgo B laid the foundations of the “Adultempo” agency, which became the main reason for the gigs of many house DJs in Bulgaria. Currently, “Adultempo” is among the leading promoters in the country and exclusive ……. of a growing number of foreign DJs, like as Louie Vega, Eddie Amador, Boy George, Johnny Fiasco, Peace Division, D-Formation Saeed Younan, Creamer and K. Silicone Soul, Terry Lee Brown JR., The Timewriter, Joey Youngman, Jimpster and more. The agency takes care for the organization of their gigs in the local clubs, as well as for the music politics of the clubs Lifehouse and PR club. In year 2007 Groovemasta started digital label representing Bulgarian house producers like QJ, Jackson Hole, The Beatburgers, KiNK, Alexander Scott and a few more. Also he is producer of the well known Deep Connection show running on Radio Nova for four years so far, pushing forward the newest stuff coming from the world of house music.In addition to his work for the agency, Groovemasta continues to be DJ. After 8 years of work, his style and skills have turned him into a talented DJ unique for the Bulgarian club scene.
