Born in Peoria, Il D. Harris a.k.a. Niggod thee Urban Grunt was brought unto this earthdestined to shine amongst the stars! In the early 80's his parents were divorced at whichtaking the bitter with the sweet was forced to live "bi-coastal” whereas spending summers inLong Island, N.Y. with his dad and Los Angeles, Ca with his mother. Choosing not to takesides in that matter, he decided to live with his grandparents in Il. This is where he started todevelop his emcee skills. Taking advantage of these diversities he encountered, he found away to incorporate all that he saw and was able to put them in rhyme. Simply put hedeveloped a unique style of his own that would eventually earn the reputation in his city as 1of the next best things to blow. Taking on the name K.S.P.C (kickin soulfalastic poetryconstantly) he went around the neighborhoods battling any emcee steppin his way never onceloosing a battle! Gaining the reputation of the nicest emcee, he was challenged and socrushed the hottest rapper in the city "Special K" earning him the opportunity to be theopening act for the 1991 "Business as Usual" tour headlined by groups "E.P.M.D", "Gangstarr",Chubb Rock" and "D.J. Quik" at the Peoria Civic Center. Creating an even larger buzz, hedecided to move to the west coast permanently to pursue his rap career.Having experience in rockin the crowds, battling emcees, and mastering his flow on the mic,he quickly became known in his west coast surroundings possibly being the next big rapper tocome out!.. His rep for being a "nice emcee" caught the attention and ear of a very prominentproducer Eric "the drunk" Borders who were then working on the classic album "The Chronic"with legendary multi-platinum selling producer "Dr. Dre". He quickly dubbed him his secretweapon. As he sought to get him a record deal, Urban, embarked on a few projects that neversaw the light of day. "Not on my behalf but because of the industry rule number 4080" as heproclaims. Being introduced to L.A underground Hip hop legends, Ganjah K, Mark thaMurdurah", Hemp Cartel's "C-Tweed" and "Mean Green" took him under his wing to helpadvance his career. Just as things were starting to peak, he faced the untimely death of hismother, which made him turn to a different lifestyle, at best words, resulted in him doing a 2and a half year bid. Upon his release he did not let his dreams falter. He quickly got incontact with Eric Borders and went to work, in the meantime going to school to study"Information Technology". Not only did he go to work on the lyrics, but, he also started toacquire the skill of beat making under the tutilage of Eric Borders. The more he got intomaking beats the less thrive he had to emcee, so he took a 3 year hiatus to get his "beatgame" up and to concentrate on his career in Information Technology. Using his "technical"tactics and using programs in 98-99 that many of you now use today was able to get him afree trip to Europe to do a project with "hostylfm" records. Upon returning to the U.S. hestarted a now defunct production label "Sub Urban D.N.A" as a producer and manager. After afew years Urban decided to go back to emceeing after constantly being asked to return to themic from peers. Grinding on the L.A. underground scene he were drawn back to L.A'S LemiertPark, determined to make his name known once again. Running back into Ganjah k he wereimmediately signed to GLOBAL MEDIA ENT as the premiere talent. While under managementwith GM he embarked on various opportunities including co-hosting a weekly Saturday internetradio show with Ganjah K called: "The Chronicles Of Ganjah K" as "Dub Saq" which earnednotoriety as one of the best hip hop radio shows on the internet generating 12 millionlisteners worldwide, earning him opportunities to mingle with some of hip hop's premieremcee's. It has also given him the opportunity to perform with lyricalheavyweights such as:W.C., FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP, TALIB KWELI, KRS-ONE, HIEROGLIPHICS, TASH, X-CLAN, BIGTILL, PLANET ASIA, ACEYALONE, MADAWM, DEAD PREZ, TOO SHORT, WHODINI, UTFO, DOUG E FRESH & SLICK RICK as well as others. This well cultured worldtraveled emcee can change it up in so many ways and is now set on being the next force tobe reckoned with!
