Founded in 1996 (with Shanne from the Nipple Erectors originally on bass) the band are part of the alternative rock n' roll scene in Camden Town, London and are a mix of punk, 60s garage + glamrock with raucous riffs, humourous lyrics and infectious girly choruses. Neil, real name Tony was originally guitarist in rebel 80s band the Deadbeats. When they say punk, they don't mean a copycat sexpistol and they don't like fashion trends, they have a raw approach to music and like a lot of attitude and perspiration .... GOT have played with the Wampas, Damned, Bellrays, Vibrators, UK Subs, Rachel Stamp, 999, Parkinsons, Others + headlined at many venues in the UK, France + New York and thrown themselves into it with all they've got.
GOT have now released their 3rd album 'A Taste Of Cyanide' recorded at Toerag (which they used before the White Stripes so there) and Gizzard, another fab studio using original 60s equipment for that authentic sound, yeah they got valves.
Songs include 'Cryonic Suspension' a fuzz guitar special, 'I'm Too Wild For You', a sleazy hypnotic dirty blues + 'Medication' for full-tilt punk mayhem aargh! Ace Records, top UK rock n' roll label are distributing.
Many may remember Girls On Top's 'Barbie Is A Smackhead' an underground classic, still available on the 1st CDLP 'Ovulater' and available while stocks last is 2nd CDLP 'Electroluxury', featuring 'Too Tired To Tie You Up' .(whip not included)
