I love music. It feeds my soul. Sometimes like junk food, however much like real food this is usually a natural craving gone wrong. Music with substantial quality and creativity, and that directed to my Saviour Jesus Christ gives my soul the greatest sustanance!
Movies?....I enjoy movies, yet at the same time I have a destinct distaste for them. I believe that the medium of Television and video stimulation numbs the brain and has purely physical detrimental effects, yet the spiritual and emotional effects can be much more dammaging. Although I "enjoy" all the typical blockbusters which tantilize our nerves, many times I wish I was immune to the these pleasurable aspects. Taking that into account the movies I enjoy most are those which portray truth, moral absolutes, and genuine character...things which I, or anyone should desire to aspire to. e.g. "The Mission", "The Scarlet and the Black", "The Passion of the Christ", and "Tommy BOy"

TV is a waste of time!! The news is biased, overemphasise, and misrepresented! Shows are filled with immaturity, immorality, and propoganda. As far as sports go, I just could never get into watching other people having all the fun, i'd rather play myself, and it's silly to give so much time and "affection" to an entity that could care less if you were dead or alive as long as the denero is flowing in their direction!!
The Bible is pretty cool. I recently was completely rocked by a biography of a christian brother who was tortured for his faith in China called "The Heavenly Man". "Revolution" was a great book for those of us who are sick and tired of the institution of the "church" and it's lack of sincerety and power! The "Divine Conspiracy", "Hearing God", and many others written by Dallas Willard are amazing books, not for the easily distracted or un-intellectual. "Shadow of the Almighty" is still one of my favorites!! Other authors I truly enjoy or fully respect: Ravi Zacharias, Thomas Merton, Philip Johnson, Michael Behe, William H. Davis, A.W.Tozer, C.S. Lewis, Oswald Chambers, and many, many more.....
