One won’t believe, that Miss dicA, born in 1982 as Barbara Tampiér in Vienna, started her DJ Career in the Mid 90..s at the young age of 14 years. At that time she was more into techno sounds. Later it was particularly the sounds of Techhouse, Minimal Techno – and today’s electro style – that exerted substantial influence on her DJ endeavours.The variety of the musical spectrum in the set of Miss dicA served as a mirror of her development for several years. Alongside her work as a DJane she also notched up important experience in the artistic realm with her training as a moderator. Her dramatic training is yet another milestone in her career and gave her the possibility to collect important experiences, which Miss dicA expresses in her DJ sets.Her "second home" became finally Berlin! Meanwhile Miss dicA is a well-known institution in the German DJ scene. Since 2004 she regularly plays in German, Austrian and international locations, alongside big acts like DJ Rok, Johannes Heil, Frank Lorber, Play Paul, Boogie Pimps, Tiefschwarz...to name only a few.
Music is the most essential thing in Miss dicA's life. Music let express her feelings and thoughts and accompanies her always and everywhere. Through her process as artist, she learned a lot about herself and whereupon it arrives. It is very important to express over a medium and in Miss dicA..s case it is clear....the music!Variety was always her forte. Where otherwise only stringent four-to-the-floor beats find their way into the DJ set, unprejudiced eclecticism prevails with Miss dicA: Electro, Electroclash, Deep House, Minimal Techno, or Tech House — there’s nothing that Miss dicA couldn’t artistically conjure up in her hell’s kitchen. Her set is and remains absolutely uniquely attuned to the evening.The perfect time for an own production! In the tracks she inserts all the experiences, ideas and impressions, which Miss dicA collected in the past. This all sounds somewhat dirty, freaky, trashy, but also has its elegant sides.
