My Story

have three passions in life: God, my family and MUSIC. I will briefly tell you how I found each one. I started taking private piano and guitar lessons when I was a child. Later I was admitted into the "Bellas Artes" Institute where I took more advanced guitar and piano lessons. But growing up was at times, painful. I was a troubled teenager without a purpose. Then I met a friend. His name is Jesus. He showed me his love and gave me a reason for living. He's been my best friend since and has been there for me every step of the way. Then everything took on a new meaning. I had now a purpose for living. I wanted to praise God with all my heart. I wanted to praise Him with what I had and music was the perfect form of expression to show Him my love. So I began wanting to become a better musician. After graduating from High-School I attended the conservatory of "Escuela de Musica" (Universidad de Guadalajara) where I learned classic theory, but mostly partied a lot. Those were fun times! Shortly after that I moved to the USA. I decided to move to California because I had a lot of friends from Mexico that had moved there. After arriving there, I stayed with my friends and asked them: "O.K., guys who's the prettiest girl in your church?" they replied: "Well, that's got to be Maggie." Then I said: "O.K., I don't know her yet but I'm going to marry her some day." That's how I met the love of my life, Maggie. My friends were right; the first time I saw her I realized how beautiful she was. The rest is history. That happened a long time ago and we have now been married for over sixteen years. I have two wonderful kids, Josh and Sarah and they are the light of my life. Through the years, I have continued my music education attending classes at L.A's Musician's Institute, Berklee College and Atlanta Institute of Music. Currently I'm a student at Instituto Canzion, Atlanta. I love my teachers and the students there and God has showed me new ways of worshiping Him. I thank God for His friendship, love and strength. Everything I know, everything I am I owe it all to him. Is he your friend too? If not, he wants to be.
You may ask: “Is it possible that the God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth wants to be my friend?” I say, it's not only possible, but real. The real reason God created us is so that each one of us can have a personal relationship with Him that will heal our broken hearts and fulfill us completely. If you have never experienced this, feel free to send me a message me and I'll tell you about my experience. God bless you.
