DEVANO
Born Devon levy to Mr and Mrs Levy, he was 11th of 12 children. He was also the only one that was born at his home in a small community called Waterhouse.
Between the ages of eight and fourteen growing up in this community carries a lot of good and very bad experiences from one minute hanging out at a dance to next minute trying to avoid from being shot.
He was brought up in a house hold where the influence of different music genre could be heard playing, from Sam Cooke, Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and the Wailers, patty page and many more of that decade.
During his high school years, his father was in the USA working for the family when he got into trouble with law and was locked up. Devano was one year from graduating from high school when he decide to drop out of school and start working to help his family. He was sixteen at the time.
During the next couple of years until he was twenty four, the worked for three different companies, to relieve the burdened and mental stress of working and becoming a man, he would be always found singing, giving himself strength and encouragement to go though the next day of his life.
During the time of is last job , he met a young man call Alwin who was the leader of a singing group called {arp} this where he met Mitch, Rohan and Davel the other three members of the group. He was invited to joining the group and became the fifth member. He was with group only for short time when he add the leave and go back to work because personal reasons.
During that same year Devano was layoff from his job and it was at this time that he had learn how to survive on the sometimes dangerous streets of Jamaica and how to be the father of his first child all at the same time.
During his time on the streets he began to sing again, but this time it was a lot more personal and lot more need to get him though is days.
Writing also became apart of him natural and talented abilities which he would write about is life and experience in poetic formats.
In is community he would meet people of musical interest such as: Jah Zee, Raga-Z, Lando, the late Greg Spice, Rance, Singer-J, and DX now is personal producer.
Devano struggle to break onto the sence for the next couple years recording for different producers trying to get noticed in music industry with unique style of singing and writing.In 2OO6 he did a audio and video various artiste compilation for Mproduction which he did a song called "Run Ova Dem" which gave him his first air play both audio and video. He also appeared in a number of videos which shows him having the potential for acting.His music describe is life living and trying to survive on the streets of Jamaica that consisted of the struggle, violence, the love and satisfaction.
To date he continues to work with his personal producer of six years along side warriors musick productions and four phase entertainment recording songs like "Every Day" "These Streets" "Without Love" and many others.---------------
