I am here for Friends

About Me

First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus. I try my best to live peacefully and love unconditionally.I am a homeschooling mama to FOUR kiddos. I have a sweet little baby boy, a 5- year old daughter, a 3-year old daughter, and a 12-year old step-daughter. Yep- I've got my hands full!I am married to an artist, so that keeps life around here interesting and beautiful. He is the most amazing guy- always supportive, loving, and nurturing, constantly challenging me to think more deeply and keep on growing further outside of the box. He is truly my soul mate.I am a quiet, contemplative, deep person...an introvert...passionate about ALOT of things - so I spend most of my free time at home reading books and studying God's Word, listening to music, and spending time with my family.I have no idea what the future holds for me. Some days I dream of becoming a midwife or a lactation consultant, because I truly love helping women discover that birth and motherhood are beautiful and empowering...other days I see myself becoming a published writer, because I have always had a mad love for the written word...or perhaps working with one of the many relief organizations or peacemaking teams near and dear to my heart... I would love to do something tangible to help the homeless in my community...or take part in a prison ministry to help those "forgotten" people feel loved and whole again...could easily see myself working with refugees and immigrants to find them safe, nurturing places to lay their heads at night...I also have a desire deep in my heart to work with orphaned kids, somehow, somewhere...don't know all the details yet.... God's still working on that one I think. :)I have had a beautiful journey in this life so far, and am just trying my best to take it one step at a time. Not rushing or impatiently pushing ahead of where God wants me. He's leading the way, and I am completely trusting in him to get me there.Right now, I am wholeheartedly enjoying this season of my life...guiding and nurturing my children and supporting my awesome husband.
