THE FREE D.C. CAMPAIGN
For many years now, the District of Columbia has been a city under siege. From the devastating 9/11 attacks on the Pentagon to the infamous sniper shootings, recent years in the capital have been deadly. In addition to the bloodshed within the city, D.C. is fighting a war on a much larger scale - a war for respect and equality.
Thus, the "Free D.C." campaign was born.
Many people assume that with hard-work and dedication, almost any goal is attainable, right? WRONG!!
The nation's capital has been suppressed, overlooked and "black-balled" for many years. Despite our efforts to “get-ahead” politically, academically and creatively, we, the people, are not afforded the same opportunities as our peers in other parts of the world. Which is why we must “Free D.C.!”
FDC is a movement organized to combat all prejudice held against the metropolitan area. The campaign aims to transform frustration into motivation, inspiring people of all ages, ethnicities and artistic backgrounds to excel in any endeavor they choose.
Our focus is not money, fame nor approval. Free D.C. is simply a way to reclaim our destiny. Armed with our given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, if we work together, we can turn the city upside down.
