His early days were lived with an appreciation for music. Stevie Wonder and 2-Pac were his greatest inspirations; two great lyricists in their own right who spoke from the heart like Lo Down do. Once he understood his love for hip-hop would never be subdued, he turns to Tupac and Mr. Scarface for tutelage; and he has made his mentors proud. The paths of Jayson Smith and Carlos Smith (no relation) cross in 1993 when they started freestylin’ in class everyday. Back and forth, lyric for lyric; both these MCs were destined for big things.
