Kash-ay formely known as LIL MOMMA was born into this world of r&b and hip hop. Kash-ay was born as Shadricka Webb ON NOV. 18, 1981 who was always the center of attention in her family she loved to sing at an early age so at the age of 10 she joined the choir at Golden View Baptist church. learning her tune in church advanced Kash-ay to sing r&b she would sing to her family and friends and put on a lil show because she loved to entertain. Over the years Kash-ay was tryna find herself in the music industry do what eva it took whether it was doing talent shows or making up routines to show off to her peers she loved the entertainment world. finally Kash-ay was introduced to hip hop by her unlce john who was a freestylist who love to rap and record hisself on a tape recorder which encouraged Kash-ay to be able to write her own rhymes so shw started listening to RUN DMC, LL COOL J, ICE CUBE,QUEEN LATIFAH,TLC, and other big time rappers at her younger years, it inspired her so much that she started a group consisting five young ladies who loved to make music and Kash-ay was known as LIL Pit from there they went into a studio and their producer at the time wanted a all female singing group with one rapper and Kash-ay was not the rapper she was made the lead singer which at the time was cool as long as she was living her dream as an artist. unfortuntely her dreams was crushed when the studio was closed down and her producer skip town, so for along time Kash-ay was not making any music except in her mind and notebook .Suddenly over a period of years Kash-ay lil brother Young Bang was into making his own beats with his own rhymes so it sparked a light on in Kash-ay where it was a signal from the one above that this is what you are supposed to do so from that listening to one of her brother beats open up her eyes to never give up on your dreams so she began to write to the beat and record her first track called Nothing In Return of the Unforgiven Ent. Street Dreams mixtape she got so much respect and recognition from her friends and family that she pushed even harder that she wrote other tracks that were put on another mixtape produced by Unforgiven Ent. One day young bang made a beat that was like no other baets she had ever heard which would make the club jump which became her hit single called DROP IT which at the time she was known as lil momma and one day just getting her hair cut she came in contact with Shaun P better known as D.J. Handz on who heard the track and knew that kash-ay had something in her that she had never seen in any other female rap artist so she called her oneday about a showcase in Anderson,S.C. that she thought would be good exposure for me and she was right that she won that the showcase got her another show in Atlanta, Georgia and a sit down with Universal records which did not go like she wanted but she got more exposure which is even better because she open up for Khia at club Spooney's which was a dream come true. From all the love at home Kash-ay changed her name because of industry laws which is Kash-ay now and from now on, from that she started on her own album called S.C. Explicit Chick which she wrote and directed on her own and performed at the open mic shows around South Carolina in Greenville. Kash-ay friends that made music with her in the Unforgiven click started to go their own way so Kash-ay joined another squad name 1 Grind production which they helped her to get an opening act for Gucci Mane at club H2O in South Carolina. They keep her focused and make her feel she is in the right placed by supporting her on her music and motivating her to do her best. With a new sound Kash-ay is hungry to make it to the top. With that said she is working on new tracks and ready to hit the streets again to show the rest of the world who Kash-ay is.
