AL is based in Paris (France) and was actually born in the Caribbean then educated in the U.S.
Fundamentally a Jazz musician (upright bass & fender bass player, vocalist, composer, lyricist and arranger) he finally extended his expression through many styles with the same generosity."MUSIC'S MADE FOR GIVING" he says...He performed in all the major festivals, Jazz clubs and concert halls with some of the greatest and brightened up many "prestige private soirées" with "Music à la carte".Along the ages he's been on the road with Memphis SLIM, Willy MAYBON, Mickey BAKER, Esther PHILLIPS, Sam WOODYARD, Myriam MAKEBA, James PETERSON, LAVELLE, Big Joe DUSKIN, Liz Mc COMB, King Solomon BURKE, NEVILLE Brothers, Nina SIMONE...and many other gifted artists.
In 1996, he founded "SOUL VOYAGE", an amazing reunion of top musicians groovin' around M. C. AL SANDERS who will take you on a thrilling trip to Rythm & Blues planet with the complicity of LINDA LEE HOPKINS (from North Carolina). She's one of the greatest vocalists based in Paris and she's a wonderful entertainer that you won't forget.
