Howdy from a small town western PA farm boy. My brother and I are 5th generation farmers on our little piece of heaven. Currently we're trying to raise registered Simmentals in a cow/calf operation. And of course, we only run the best equipment.
Oh, me, well lets see... I'm a agronomists that is educated in plant pathology, specifically molecular interactions of plants and microbes as well as epidemiology of plant diseases. I'm also a decent mechanic (fixing anything from tractors to cars to helicopters), I love animals (usually with a side of taters) and row crops (esp. soybeans). I'm pursuing my love of fabrication with a guy from work. Me and the plasma torch are becoming friends. Other enjoyments include shielded arc welding, mig welding, brazing, and machining (lathe and mills). I finally got to use a TIG welder. It's just "electric brazing" with extreme control. Currently fabricating with Aluminum. TIG welding 6061 and 3003. Any words of wisdom, I'm all ears.
Currently I am working as an Extension Assistant for 2 profs at Penn State University. My research is focued on pasture, forage, and nutrient management. I'm a Certifed Crop Advisor (CCA), so if your crops need some advising let me know.
I really enjoy working on engines and making sweet Smallblocks a little louder and stronger. The people of Summit Racing are extremely knowledgeable with very fast, friendly service.
I'm starting to enjoy doing SAS... That can't be a good thing. Proc Mixed kicks Butt!!!!
Yeah, I lost the tips of 2 fingers in a International 1-PR corn picker a couple years ago. I should get a 20% discount on manicures (not that I have ever gotten one). If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at???
