Born April 26 Shawn Michalski busted into this world only to find that he apparently just had been delivered into the 80's, Ironically, fun was what the 80s were all about. Not only did we rock out with our GI Joes (Boys) and My Little Ponies (Girls), but the pop culture of the 80s brought us hours of fun-induced headaches with Rubik's Cube and competitive hair teasing. By the power of Greyskull, we HAD the power, and most of all, we wanted our MTV.The 90's brought on a whole new perspective in Shawns life, on the brink of puberty and with the 80's on the way out, shawn was in for a gadget over load. The Nineties were the decade of technology with the rise to prominence of the personal computer, cellular phone, MP3, and Palm Pilot. But perhaps the single most important advance was the growth of the information superhighway: the Internet. In international relations, the 1990's started off with Persian Gulf War, where General Norman Schwarzkopff commanded the United States Military to easy victory after Iraq invaded Kuwait. Tragedy stuck in 1995 when a terrorist bomb killed 168 Americans in a downtown Oklahoma City Federal building and Former football star and television personality OJ Simpson was accused of murdering his wife. The "trial of the century" resulted and Simpson was acquitted of the crime. The decade ended with President Bill Clinton involved in a sex scandal and the whole nation frantically preparing for the Y2K bug.After graduating high school in 1999 Shawn joined the military serving with the Navy in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Working aboard the USS Enterprise Shawn worked as a ABE launching and recovering fighter jets off the flight deck. After the 9/11 attacks Shawn was the first to strike Afghanistan from the persian gulf, extending his time there to 9 months. After the Navy Shawn enrolled at ECPI College of Technology in Newport News Virginia where he studied IT Networking. At the end of 03 Shawn moved back to Minnesota and is now working as a IT Consultant.Blogs

So now im at a crossroads in my life where my career choice seems to be just so up and down all the time and im considering switching fields. On top of that my dating life has been taking me on one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Sometimes I just get so frustrated with the whole process. And I hate how sometimes if feels like my heart is getting walked over. Dating feels like a 2nd job sometimes. God help a single guy out please. lol Im not sure where im gonna end up but hopefully its in a place where im at peace.05/04/2008

I had a great birthday weekend. I hung out with the GF and her friends and it was alot of fun. Im happy I found someone I feel totally comfortable with. Time will tell if this is going to last though. Wish me luck.
