About Me

Billy Livsey was born in St. Louis and at a tender age headed off to England to play keyboards for several established English artists such as Ronnie Lane, Leo Sayer, Gallagher and Lyle, Curt Smith, Roger Chapman, Kevin Ayers and Tina Turner. After twenty some years as an in-demand session player Livsey began to evolve into a successful songwriter, which ironically led to cross-continental co-writing sessions with Nashville writers such as Don Schlitz and Fred Knobloch. Ultimately, Livsey decided to relocate to Nashville, which led to his songs being recorded by artist such as Mark Chestnut, John Berry, Lorrie Morgan, Ty Herndon and Tayna Tucker. Soon Nashville producers started getting wind of Livsey's keyboard chops, and he once again became an in-demand session player, and ultimately playing on records for Rodney Crowell, Michael McDonald, Jim Lauderdale and Travis Tritt.
For Billy, playing led to writing, and writing has now taken the next logical evolutionary step into producing- this time in both the US and England. Artists are very receptive to Billy's varied and unique musical background; which has developed fertile ground for growing today’s artists.
