December 4th, 1986, God placed a special gift inside of a chosen infant. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Seven J has made a huge impact with his music. His mother knew he was special, when she realized he was reading out of encyclopedias at the tender age of three. With his father in and out of jail and his life when he was young, rap not only became a hobby, but also an escape. Seven J used to sit in his room and rap Dr. Suess books to himself, while other kids were outside and his mother was working fulltime to support he and his sister. As he got older, Seven J gave his life to God and was saved and baptized at Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Though he knew he had a God-Given talent, rap was never a mandatory issue with him until August 12, 1999. His little brother, Alphonso Eugene Paulk Jr. passed away at the young age of two from bacterial meningitis caused by second hand smoke. (This is a major reason why he doesn't smoke.) He then realized that he had promised his brother that he would get signed and it became a mission. Along this mission Seven J encountered in numerous rap battles and stands at an impressive 53-0. He also sold underground titles at school, church, and neighborhoods. Once he developed his skills, performances became regular for him. Venues such as The Ritz, Hip Hop Heavyweights in Valdosta, churches, schools, conventions, workshops, seminars, and youth centers. Seven J also won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and made his own video along with other winners. Success for Seven J seemed to reach it's highest point with a trip to New York. This was short lived due to the death of his auntie Sylvia Diane Wright at the age of thirty eight in 2005. While she was on her sick bed, Seven constantly told her how he thought Eminem was the best rapper alive. She convinced him to believe that you are the best at whatever you do. This is where his confidence built. His aunt left behind a four year old daughter whom Seven vowed to take care of once he was signed. These things motivate Seven J everday to strive for a deal. He loves music with all his heart. "I can do ALL things through CHRIST which strengthens me."
