I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

First of all, as a networking device, myspace is a great place to share ideas, inform and inspire, so I'll first mention... Our world has some issues: diseases we could prevent that kill millions, genocide that claims hundreds of thousands, hunger, malnourishment, water and sanitation crises... How does one choose a cause and make a difference? Fortunately the world's economists, ambassadors and senior diplomats have prioritized which challenges we should tackle first based on the urgency of the problem and the difference we can make. Check out copenhagenconsensus.com to learn more.

PROFESSIONAL
I’m a Jack of many trades and a master of a few. I spend most of my time developing creative communication solutions for companies in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. I began my career as a medical illustrator and quickly ventured into 3D animation, web development, and other forms of print, broadcast and interactive media, for marketing, training and educational purposes. After 8 years of working for Graphic Pulse, Inc., I am interested in changing my environment by working for another advertising / communication agency in order to continue growing as a creative professional. I am also interested in patient advocacy programs as well as medical and health education intitiatives to which I can contribute my skills. My company: graphicpulse.com

LEISURE
I spin and dip follows at Latin clubs, sail on Lake Michigan in the summer, paint portraits, bike along Lake Shore Drive and work out in the gym. My favorite vacations include snowboarding or backpacking out west. Chicago is a great town. I’ve got a great girlfriend that's beautiful, intelligent, kind and easy going. I love what I do, and I love the diversity and down to earth personalities I meet here.

PERSONALITY
I'm an honest, approachable midwestern man. I'm the guy everyone comes up to, to ask directions and to take their picture. At 6'4" I'm also the guy people use as a human periscope to find someone in a crowd or to grab the depends off the top shelf in the grocery store. I'm fortunate, reliable, and pleasant enough to still have the same kick ass friends I had 20 years ago. I always stay even keel with a sense of humor. But if a gust of wind tears open a spinnaker and the proverbial sh-t hits the fan, I spring to action like a Cirque du Soleil acrobat. I'm devoted to my friends and family. And I love Stewie Griffen... and my Caphirina.

HEALTH

Think of all the abortions that are avoided by using condoms... Now think of all the abortions that ocurr because people are unaware of the morning after pill. Spread the word. Two little pills taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, reduce the chance of getting pregnant by 75%. It's cheap. There are no harmful side-effects. You must always use a condom to protect yourself against disease and pregnancy. But if anything goes wrong with the condom, you need to go to your local pharmacy and pick up the morning after pill. You have to be 18 or over to get it without a prescription, because the govenment feels your parents or doctor should be notified if you are younger than 18. If you are under 18, you need to call your doctor and get a prescription. If you can't get it from your doctor you need to call Planned Parenthood at 1-800-230-PLAN. Schedule an appointment. They will write a prescription and you can take the morning after pill, so you don't have to decide between an abortion (a very serious procedure with physical and emotional consequences) and pregnancy. Spread the Word!!!

Anyone who thinks Michael Moore is not a complete idiot has to check out the real story of Cuban healthcare at therealcuba.com/Page10.htm
The U.S. has the highest quality healthcare available today. Socialized Medicine, Universal Healthcare, whatever you call it, would be a disaster, would cost the American people much more money in taxes than they already pay for health care, would severely lower the quality of healthcare, and ultimately cause suffering and unnecessary deaths. These consequences have been proven in every socialized healthcare system throughout history.

RELIGION
My Muslim friends. The terrorists are killing in the name of your religion. Why stand by passively and quietly while they turn the world against you?

I'm a conservative: Small government. Individual freedom and responsibility. Strong family and moral values. Pro-capitalist and free trade. Yet I am also an atheist. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is all you need to figure out what is morally good for humanity and what is morally bad. Logic, common sense, and a basic knowledge of human behavior and history is all you need to figure out what works and what doesn't over the long-term. What pulls countries out of poverty and what ensures continued suffering. What provides the incentive for developments in science, health and technology, and what ideologies lack the incentive for progress. Socialism does not work. The govenment is vastly less qualified to run our lives and our healthcare. Anyway it wasn't a religious text that taught me this. And that is why I am not shackled by religious dogma. I am free to think for myslef. To have tolerance for people who are different than myself. To recognize the tremendous benefit stem cell research could bring to those who suffer from disease. To be respectful of gays and their way of life. To not freak out over the morning after pill. And to choose what is best for humanity, instead of stifling scientific and healthcare progress because of phrases from a 2000+ year old book!
Conservative views do not require a religion

Helping that Cripples vs. Helping that Empowers

Human beings run on incentive. We work because we need money for shelter, food, water, etc. We help others because it makes us feel good, it makes the world in which we live a better place. If we have...
