About Me

Practical, serious and hardworking...that’s how my friends descibe me ... I have great powers of concentration when I am very interested in what I’m doing....hard to distract once I am reading or doing something I really like... I am diligent and persevering in my efforts it’s just that I’m easily distracted but I am able to get the job done..though sometimes it takes me longer to finish a job I started... I am at my best at getting things done when there are deadlines and extreme pressure because then adrenaline will flow through my veins and I can do things without sleeping for 36 hours....I probably believe in "Try and try until you succeed."... Private by nature, I appear calm in moments of crisis. Although I feel secure if I know the schedule... I am very disorganized ... My table look like a mess especially when I’m working but I can easily find my way through my things, I’m a little autistic at times because I like things in the way I leave them and I get a little upset when someone rearranged my things...that’s why my sisters just leave my things the way they found them. I also like things in repetitive manner...all my things as well as my sisters since I am the one who bought them are usually in blue, our walls are blue, our curtains, table covers, pillows, cabinet drawers, pails, etc are all in different shades of blue so I can see blue, blue and blue everywhere... it calms my nerves. If its left to me I would have cook the same dish at the same meal day in and day out. My sisters COPE by doing the cooking themselves when they get tired of eating the same thing over and over again. I am a very visual person, I find it hard to listen to a lecture even in my first languange... sometimes even after five minutes my mind just switch off so I only understood bits and pieces of a lecture. I try to compensate for my short attention span by writing what the speaker is saying, the only problem is I wouldn't be able to understand what s/he is saying unless I read what I’ve written down again, because writing it down absorbs all my concentration. I'm in a tight spot when the speaker ask me a question while lecturing because I need to read my notes before I can answer and you are not allow to do that when someone puts a question to you so I usually panic and cannot say a thing, if I calm myself enough I might be able to ask the speaker to repeat the question, then I would be able to answer ...I think my mind tends to process information a little slowly. It’s better when the speaker has a visual presentation as well because then I would only need to concentrate on the meaning. I find it helpful focusing on the speakers hair, hand gestures, and general apperance while he/she is talking to kept my mind from wandering (though don’t ask me after 30 minutes what s/he’s wearing because for the life of me I can’t remember), when s/he still talks and I still have to listen longer without visual stimuli.... Although my IQ is supposedly above average...(according to the assessment done by the guidance counselors in the University where I had my undergraduate degree) ... I was an average student in college in graduate school. I behave appropriately for what the situation demands but I don’t want to be the center of attention because I have a stage fright so I find myself speaking so fast in front of an audience otherwise I might forget what I’m saying and my mind will get blank....

Jerusalem's Bird Observatory

Weve seen a group of children divided into two lines having a contest while walking along the slope to the bird observatory. I think, it is unfair that the boys group scope the petals in the bowl by...
