Get ready for my return.... New music on the way!

About Me

Born & raised on the Southside of Houston, K.G. a.k.a. "Ghetto Starr" is the second child of two boys. He began rapping in the early 1990's as a hobby, freestyling at local talent shows. He signed his first deal at the age of 14 with a local independent label but it did not turn out as he expected so he left and took a hiatus from rapping and began living what some would call the "street life", constantly having run-ins with the Huston Police Department. In 1999, K.G. lost one of his closest friends due to an automobile accident. At that time his future was still cloudy. In 2001, it finally became clear to K.G that being a rap artist in the music entertainment business is one of his many reasons for being placed here on earth and his interest in and love for music became stronger than ever! He started to write music and began recording on computer that he rented from the local Rent-A-Center and a $10.99 walmart dynamic microphone making mix-tapes and shipping them around to local independent labels (none of which offered him the deal he was in search of). In 2003, K.G formed his first record label "Str8 Ballin Entertainment" and gathered up a few local artists but that endeavor did not map out as planned. None of the artists under his label were ready to put forth the effort and concentration required to make the business a success, so he dropped everyone except his little brother "Ajet". In 2005, he ran into a problem with the IRS and had to start from scratch and created his current label " Corporate Hustle Entertainment" with himself and "Ajet" being the only artists to date. K.G. is now working on his first real solo album and also his last mix-tape which will be released soon! Although, K.G has endured various road blocks in the music industry his drive to be successful has done nothing but strengthen. He continues to have an undying faith in himself and will not stop until his goals are fulfilled.
