You can say that my life is somewhat INTERESTING.I live and work in Hertfordshire, England.My work gets me involved in the realms of substance misuse (drugs/alcohol) for people who want help to overcome their particular addiction, and also raising awareness of substance misuse to the general public. In particular, young people who are at risk of offending and/or using substances themselves.I am also an auricular (ear) acupuncture practitioner (also at work) which I enjoy greatly.Community involvement is a big issue with me as there is too much apathy in certain communities in my part of the world.
This is why I am on the committee of two community centres and a youth project (The Swan - see their MySpace site) in which young people are able to perform live (rock) music to their peers, as they have no other place locally to perform their music.I try to stay positive in life, because despite the stresses and strains I actually enjoy my life and what I WANT to do. This is in complete contrast to the tough time I had attending primary and secondary schools in the 1970s in which the culture was extremely violent from both pupils and teachers alike.Thanks to adult/further education I made up for lost time in terms of my education and personal development.'Every day think a good day, plan a good day, pray a good day, and make it a good day!
