Clear Brook Days

About Me

Previous to Clear Brook Days, John and Darren formed Randy's Donuts in '89 with Tim Mortelmans on drums and David Stacey on keyboard. Alex joined in '90 but Randy's sadly petered out around '92.Darren, Alex and John continued to make interesting home made recordings on chrome tapes. Alex joined "The Pharohs" in '94 featuring Sam Deakins, Richard Coyle, and Jan and Ben Booy. They quit it in about '96.John, Darren and Alex formed Clear Brook Days sometime in the summer of '97 (initially calling themselves Lunar and becoming know for songs such as "Moonstones" and "Noise from a garden"). Ben Booy came in on drums then Toby Goodman then Ben Booy again. They made successful recordings and played powerful rocky, folky, funky gigs in and around London until the band stopped in 2001.3 demos were released to the world the final being the intruiging "Leafloop" acoustic demo, from which "Horizons" was included.
