Papa Linley grew up in New York City, where he developed his musical talents as a bassist and percussionist playing for several bands and studio sessions. In 1990, he released a single called “Double Bag It†for Reality Records, which featured his songwriting and ragga-rapping. It quickly created a buzz on the New York dance-hall and hip-hop scene and the attention it garnered, inspired him to focus on a career as a recording artist. His performances as a DJ at "The New Music Cafe" and other clubs were always a treat for the New York underground. After several feature appearances on major label releases like Atlantic Records, “Best of Bingoboysâ€, Papa Linley had a major label solo release in 1995 with, “Let The Sunshine In†for BMG Ariola.Currently, Papa Linley proudly presents his long-awaited, new album “Come Togetherâ€. This album showcases his songwriting, rapping, bass-playing, and producing skills. it also features some of Munich's finest singers on a parade of catchy, dance-hall tunes. At present, Papa Linley produces singers and bands and makes remixes for McKenzie Music Germany. He also DJ's at parties, clubs and events throughout Europe.
