I guess this is where I tell a few things about myself, Michael Stanton Well, I grew up in Oxford MS, then attended Mississippi State University from 1995-2001, as Biological Sciences major, with an emphasis in Pathogenic Microbiology and Medical Technology. I also played some football for the Dawgs in 1997-1998. I enjoy making music, being a business man, and basketball (I love them Lady Bulldogs, coached by Sharon Fanning). All in all, I try to be a decent dude. My childhood dream was to of course; play Pro ball, cure cancer, and motivate folk with my gift of word. I have somewhat attenuated these goals, but take the same attitude and focus into what happening 'now'.
I began UnderGrind Railroad as in-home studio project, that has now spun into a production studio, music store, and apparel store within its first three years of existence. In the latter part of 2006, I was introduced to Myspace.com by a friend in the music business, who suggested I should branch out, now after legalizing the business and having a reliable source of products and services. I hope you enjoy my music I post here, if not...It doesn't matter. I make music that I feel, basically it is an extension of myself. Hence, you won't catch me faking shyt in my music. I feel that music is art and art is simply an imitation of life, so my art is my life in word and melody...I'm not hating on nobody that rap about smoking, slanging, and shooting folk, but that shyt ain't me. Besides, who in they right mind is dumb enough to do that shyt then confess about the shyt on a CD? That takes one dumb MF. I believe, 'what is from the heart, reaches the heart." So that raps up my style of music.
On the other hand is the business man, Michael Stanton. I have a few items here for music production; like the wav files for the Korg Triton, Yamaha Motif, and Roland Fantom. It is my personal belief that the best way to look good, is to do it by accident; meaning look like its the norm and you aren't even trying. When you are trying too hard, it seems like you are begging for attention, that shyt ain't sexy, nor is it cool. So,I take a subtle approach to it, and thats how I choose what apparel to sell. I offer a few items here that are a MUST for the casual balla, hustler, businessman or woman.
