Walter Bell and Jeff Wisner met in 2002 when Jeff was looking for Hip-Hop musicians to work with on some instrumentals. Although Jeff was not looking to work with a rapper, he decided to record and produce Walter (then going by Walt GZ). The RockStar Project idea came when Jeff let Walter hear a Hip-Hop/Rock track that didn't have vocals. Walter heard the potential and they worked out lyrics that included both rap and rock vocals. The track had good potential, but was not at the profesional level and was set aside. Walter and Jeff worked on demos for Walter's rap career, but always planned on finishing The RockStar Project. Four years later, the time came to focus on finishing the album when a local DJ expressed intrest in a crossover track on one of Walter's earlier albums.
...more to come.
