You truly feel that you are reaching into Andrew's soul when you listen to this cd. He is one of the most kind human beings on the planet, and talented to boot! Hopefully he will continue to rock our worlds for years to come.

Awesome as expected

Used to catch Doxys Kitchen in Raleigh when I was in college. Lucky enough to hear Andrew and a guy playing sax when it was just a few friends and them.. in the entire bar. This cd is just plain awesome.

A True talent. An incredible artist.

As a Doxy's Kitchen fan that had been wondering for years what happened to the guys, I was thrilled to see Andrew was continuing to perform and had put out this disc. This disc is incredible and I highly recommend it to former DK fans and anyone into any of the previously mentioned artists or good music and poetry in general.
Hello to anyone that found this review when "googling" my name. =)

Miss this guy playing back in the day at the west end wine bar and the lounge back home.....a nice takeaway from Doxy's....good music for laid back nights and always makes me homesick for Chapel Hill......

absolutely ---the coolest sound

Very cool tunes. Kind of a Simply Red meets Steely Dan thing. Would very much like to see Dykers live.

Great CD very reminiscent of Doxy's Kitchen, but Andrew has never sounded better

On Point!
author: Don
I met Andrew when I worked in Student Activities at Keuka College in Upstate New York. I knew from the moment he interacted with the students that he was special. His music is so simple yet complex at the same time. He truly has a gift. I was happy when he released his CD, because I wore out the Demo tape that I got from Auburn Moon. Andrew keep up the good work. The CD is On POINT!

Feelings is what it's really all about!
author: Tom Spencer
We first heard Andrew play outside a restaurant at brunch on one of those sun kissed afternoons that appear in Chapel Hill unlike anywhere else. He had a demo tape and we signed up for his website and waited for this CD, and waited--and now it's here. The truth is he's a poet as well as a songwriter and he's willing to be real--and feelings is what it's really all about. We look forward to what comes next and are glad he's back at the Hill for awhile.

"And what on Earth do you mean music does not make the world go around?"

Zoot is an amazing CD! It pulls you in and makes you feel the emotion of the songs and the messages behind them. The music makes you think and Andrew's voice relaxes you. This is beautiful music to be incredibly grateful for.

an emotional release of lyrical invention shining a light directly to the soul...
author: kevin b
to see this man perform live is inspiring-- to hear his studio take is equally impressive. somehow i got my hands on an early sample of this cd and the music--the lyrics--the message--shot straight through to my soul and has helped to remind me why i love music so much... without hesitation this cd has made an impression on me in the same respect as ani difranco, jeff buckley, ben harper and jack johnson.
Better than Lucky Charms
The late Chuck Dean (who wrote for Rolling Stone and Playboy) saw my band doing battle and tagged us, "Better than Lucky Charms." Thereafter, he would send these extra-vivid-life-letters, sometimes 15 pages handwritten, containing bizarre little nick-nacks; e.g. plastic army men, Bazooka bubble gum, and band-aids...?
The beauty of course is that I don't have to describe what it sounds like." You just click on the button(s) and listen... a tool for Peaceful (R)evolution.
Your energy helps.
