The Quiet Man (Who may be a redneck if...)

About Me

Quiet and conservative father of 2. I'm easy going and don't get all worked up over petty stuff. I don't have time for drama, and have no patience for ignorant or selfish people. I like to work on my own cars and do my own home repairs. I would rather be camping in the outdoors than sitting around the house on weekends. I'm not into bars or drinking just to get slobbering drunk. I have 2 young kids that are the world to me, and I spend all the time with them I can.Yes, I am a redneck! I've probably done most of the things Jeff Foxworthy says "You may be a redneck if..." (and YES, I really did cut my grass once and found a car!)Speak softly, and carry a friggin' HOWITZER!

My Interests

Camping, hunting, shooting, reloading, restoring cars. I love big game and bird hunting. Elk hunting is my all time favorite hunt. I'm into Cowboy Action Shooting, what a blast! SASS member "Slowpoke Slim". My favorite cars have all been Mopars, I've owned quite a few.

I'd like to meet:

Normal people? I don't know? People that have something going for themselves and aren't just coasting through their lives. Have a goal and at least are working towards it? Can at least be mature when it matters, but knows how to have fun anyway? Must have a sense of humor to survive. People who aren't always looking for a handout or entitlement. People who share a common interest in hunting, shooting or classic cars.

Music:

Classic rock, country, some jazz and blues.

Movies:

Westerns, sci-fi, comedies. Animal House, Blazing Saddles, Airplane, The Blues Brothers, Just about anything with John Wayne in it, except The Cowboys, he dies in it!

Television:

When I'm not watching kids shows with my kids, then History Channel, Discover Channel, hunting shows, That 70's Show (Red reminds me of my dad!), some comedies. I HATE "reality shows"! I don't watch sports on T.V. either.

Books:

When it's not technical manuals or repair manuals, or hunting/shooting/reloading books, then I'm reading with my kids. The last book I read for "me" was a collection of Jules Verne's work, and I just finished a C.S. Lewis book.

Heroes:

My Dad, My Grandfather, John Wayne, Audy Murphy, James Stewart, Ronald Reagan, Benjamin Franklin

Back from my elk hunt-that's why they call it "hunting"...
