About Me

Big City - Live cut recorded with Bobby Pounds at a club called Bo's Barn n Salado Texas. I recorded this track with two LD condenser mics out front in an x-y configuration, feeding an Aphex stereo mic preamp, then to a Sony DAT recorder. What you hear is a blend of the PA mix off the speaker cabs and some stage sound. This is typical bar-band fare, complete with clams... but hard to go wrong with the Hag.
County Line - This is a demo recording I did with Dane Sterlling . Dane did the recording and engineering in his home studio, we just played the tune down, and I came up with the intro pretty much on the spot. The idea was to take the demo with him as a reference when he got into the studio to cut his record. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they liked my intro well enough to use it on the record. My good bud Tommy Detamore recorded the record at his Cherry Ridge Studio and played my part much better than I did.. LOL.
Mr. Sandman - I bought a D-8 Stringmaster a while back and recorded this instrumental with a cheesy Band-in-a-Box rhythm track as a test. I just wanted to see how the Stringmaster recorded. I liked the way it turned out and keep thinking I'll re-cut it with real drums and backups, but so far haven't gotten around to it.
Manna - I composed this short little instrumental to be a background music loop on the web page for Manna Worldwide. This Christian organization feeds hungry kids around the world. After further discussion, they decided no music on their page, so now I'm stuck with it... might be a song in there somewhere..
I Hope You Get Caught - The songwriter on this one is Lealean Peace, and the singer is our good friend Dane Sterlling . This one started as an acoustic guitar voice demo and we added the other instruments as overdubs. As you can tell, it's still a work in progress.
