The character LA Rat was inspired by a trip to California. As a result I made a CD called “Playtime†in 2003. It is roughly speaking an observation of an actor’s period of unemployment in Hollywood, also known as resting.Perhaps “yourgregorypeckmakesmyjanefonda†could be described as a retreat back across the Atlantic to a small city here in the UK. As a result it has stylistic flavours from a bygone era but at the same time there are the ‘eerie but modern’ sounds. Imagine being a child having your photo snapped in Woolworths on an instamatic camera and the obligation felt to BE SHY! There are also songs about how I feel right now. Its too hard to describe music. Its always best just to listen.
