About Me

Hello. My name is Robert Teetsov. In addition to singing and writing songs, I direct films and act in films and theater. I recently released an EP of five of my songs, entitled "the bob sessions", co-produced, arranged and recorded by my good friend and fellow musician Damien Somville in Paris, France.I started singing in choirs when I was four, thanks to my mom's love of music and I started writing poetry and stories before my teen years, thanks to an inspiring English teacher who was a poet and biographer of Carl Sandburg. I began singing my own songs in Chicago, solo with my dreadnought guitar on the open stage of The Old Town School of Folk Music and in clubs around town.I'm currently in Chicago, preparing the release of my album and directing my first feature film. In Paris, I've done solo concerts at the Théâtre de La Générale, the Salon 5/6, Shakespeare and Company, Kitchup in Pigalle, and at Théatre des Quarts d'Heures. I've also played at Pop-In Sunday evenings and at Mains d'oeuvres in a performance by choreographer Eléonore Didier, entitled "Est-ce (aimer)".My album will be released spring 2009. The songs are recorded and ready--still working with Damien Somville-- and a promising young designer in Naples is creating the cover and liner notes. Thanks for listening to my songs. Feel free to drop me a line. Aurore Victoire. **
