Radio DJ and Turntablist, Producer, Journalist, Computer Technician & Sound Engineer, what can't he do? DJ BlacKnight (known by many names), is not a jack of all trades but a multi-talented genius who promises to bring something different to the game with all that he has learned. Born and raised in Bed Stuy Brooklyn, the vast history of music in his neighborhood is enough to have its own history book alone. This naturally gave him the exposure to various types of music, as well as family members whom had large collection of artists for him to listen to. His interest in hip hop was always there but was not fully realized until high school, where he felt disappointed in the direction hip hop had taken and started to write rhymes in his spare time. Feeling the need to shift directions, he decided to invest his time and resources into going behind the boards, and hasn't looked back since. Being an ambitious and active college student while putting his writing skills towards a degree in Communications has slowed his music career down, but has also given him more opportunities as he is now a radio personality with a college radio show that is aimed at painting a bigger picture of the definition of hip hop. Currently he is the engineer at WBCR radio station and remains involved with student activities on his campus, but finds the time to mix records and produce.
