Influences: People that use shoestrings for guitar straps. I love old blues music - That would be Mississippi John Hurt, Robert Johnson, Sonny Terry, Bukka White, Son House, Gary Davis...Alvin Youngblood Hart,Stefan Grossman, G. Love. But I listen to a fair amount of Pete Rock (petestrumentals) and Fat Jon and Brazilian Girls. The Ohio Players, Greyboy, Miles, F. Hubbard, Scofield. Beck, Pavement, Silver Jews, Yo La Tengo, Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth, Firehose, Dinosaur Jr. Pharcyde, Badu, Geto Boys, Dre, Keb Mo, Warren G, Taj Mahal, Corey Harris. The F***king Champs, The Cure, The Dead Milkmen. Also Brazilian music Bebel Gilberto, Jobim, Jorge Ben, Seu Jorge, Marcelo D2. My biggest influence is going to new places.
