It was a passion that began in a small city called Las Cruces, located in New Mexico where Joseph Hampel was recruited to pitch for New Mexico State University's baseball team. He grew tired of the lame college parties and took matters into his own hands. After trading in his glove and cleats for tables and a mixer, Dainjazone brought the Los Angeles style of party rocking to Cruces. Dainja took control of the house party scene and gained a residency at the hottest bar in town. After graduating college, it was time to move back to L.A. to do it bigger and better.Within the last three years, Dainjazone, an aspired DJ from Los Angeles has not only spun through out greater L.A., but all over the country. He linked up with Toyota as their featured DJ for the 2007 NBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas. Since then, Toyota has hired him for The 2007 L.A. Auto Show, and The 2007 AST Mountain Dew Tour, which traveled to five different locations across the country (Baltimore, Cleveland, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Orlando).Outside of Toyota, Dainjazone has spun for iamhiphop.com at Rock The Bells in San Bernadino and spins a number of exclusive private events at Universal Studios. Dainjazone capped off the year strong in 07 as he was the featured DJ on the main stage at City Walk on New Years Eve and spun for Yamaha at their first ever Yamaha Rhino Rally in San Diego.The Jam Master Jay Scratch Academy can count on Dainja when they need a reliable DJ. Scratch has hired him for some of their most epic events such as the grand openings of H&M Stores, Bloomingdales, , Asics release of its new brand, Onitsuka Tiger at Eilatan in Beverly Center, The Powerade Challenge at Magic Mountain and the 2008 X-Games. He will also be one of Red Bulls Premier DJ's as they continue to host events around L.A.Dainjazone has made club appearances at Les Deux (Hollywood) Ritual (Hollywood) Forbidden City (Hollywood), Basque (Hollywood), Aqua Lounge (Santa Monica), Miyagis (Hollywood), Lima Lounge (West Valley), Karma (Ventura), Cabana Club (Hollywood), and BB Kings (City Walk). Outside of California, Dainja has spun at Envy-One of Portland, Oregon's, Denver, Colorado's Hamburger Marys, and club 600 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Remixing, flipping tracks, call it what you want, you can find Dainja's remixes on the ever so popular crack4djs.net. Dainja, Mikiwar and Ventura's finest, Kidd Spin have created an original sounding remix team called "Cold Got 2 B." This teams music can only get better with time.In 2008-09, Dainjazone plans to take his career to another level. Not only is his modeling career under way, he has returned to the DEW TOUR and will be found making guest appearances all over the country.
