About Me

A review from The Hungry Musician:
******* DEAD RUSTIC DOG******* play a brand of rock that i describe as eclectic, with a strong lean toward punkabilly and progressive rock. Its anything but boring as the pace of most of their originals is like a runaway train being pushed by a solid rocket booster; not so much fast, but more of a high torque unstoppable hard driving shuffle. W.C.seems to always have a devious smirk on his face (between howls and screams) that makes it appear that he knows something that we don't. As DRD's set progressed, dedications and birthday wishes abounded, as did other WAR 'N' FEST participants joining in on stage. It all led up to a rebirth of the"medley", an often overlooked presentation tool that was pulled off nicely by DEAD RUSTIC DOG. In a medley, segments of many different songs are pieced together to form a seamless work, usually revolving around a central theme. DRD and friends took it one step further, adding the special treat of a seamless flow of vocal and percussion work added in by members of TEXTURE, DISRESPECT and really just about anybody associated with WAR 'N' FEST. As usual, DRD satisfied the needs of old friends, while winning over new ones.
DEAD RUSTIC DOG has finally called it quits. A fun ride that lasted quite a few years. Each member is pursuing their own project and remain friends, no, brothers. However, don't be surprised if you show up to a future War-N-Fest and find the boys blasting it out! CHEERS TO ALL!!!
