I Love You, Jesus!
Hi, my name is Chrissy ~~ I am very happily married to my husband, David, for 22 years. We have 2 beautiful children ~ David II (21) and Heather Nicole (16). We are born-again Christians. I made this site to glorify God and to help lead others to Christ. Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32
What is a born-again Christian? Someone who personally accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and follows that decision with Believer's Baptism (we do not believe baptism is necessary for salvation, but instead see it as an outward sign of an inward change). We believe that the only way to Salvation is through Jesus Christ (Son of God). Everyone is a sinner and must repent. (Also see John 3:3).
My basic beliefs: I believe in the trinity (The Father, Son & Holy Spirit). The Bible is the Word of God. Jesus is the Son of God and He is the only way to salvation. He died on the cross as full payment for our sins and experienced a bodily resurrection, so that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. The Holy Spirit indwells ever believer and has sealed us as children of God. I believe Jesus Christ is coming again and will take us to our eternal home that He has prepared for us!

~~Human beings are created to know God. He instilled a thirst that will not be satisfied until we reach out to Him for companionship and love~~

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean living"
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I was just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow.

Here's a question to Dr. Charles Stanley that I thought I would share:
Answer: In John 14:6, the Lord said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." This is extremely important for the simple reason that Jesus said it, and everything He said is 100% reliable. He is warning us here about false prophets; therefore we know we can expect attempts to deceive us into thinking we can reach heaven by alternate routes, which is simply a lie.
No, all religions do not present a path to the one true God. Many Bible verses tell us there are no other Gods, and serving foreign deities is "evil in the sight of the Lord." (Exodus 20:3; 2 Samuel 7:22; Judges 2:11-12) We can be certain about this because Scripture, which calls itself the "word of truth," is completely dependable. (2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 1:20-21)
Receiving Jesus Christ as personal Savior is an acknowledgement of one's sinfulness and of Jesus Christ being the only way to the Father. Since this involves eternal destiny, there is nothing more important than settling this matter in the way Scripture explains.
All other religions teach that people are made acceptable before God by works, which is another way of saying it is by something they can do. Christianity says we are made acceptable only by what Jesus Christ has done ~~ namely, He laid down His life on the cross, dying a substitutionary atoning death to pay our sin-debt in full. There is nothing we can add to His finished work on our behalf. That's why Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
~~Amen!~~
