After many years on lead
guitar Keith decided to add bass to fill in a few open dates on his calendar. Soon the calls started coming in and before he new it he was picking up those extra gigs on guitar! As the bass quickly became his first instrument and more and more comfortable, digging deep into the foundation and groove of the song gave sort of a rebirth to the music he had lost some of his passion for. Approx 7 years ago Keith moved forward with a total commitment to the bass, giving his vintage 1966 telecaster some well deserved rest.
Just before New Years Day 2007 Keith recieved a call form veteran Drummer Ty Grimes to go to Dallas and play a show with Vocalist Bruce Bowland (one of Keiths heros from the legendary Austin Band Krakerjack) there was no hesitation to once again strap on the old guitar. The band proved to be very solid and powerful with the machine like foundation of the rythym section (James Anderson (bass) Ty Grimes (drums)and the amazing soulful rock voice of Bruce Bowland.
Today Keith continues placing his energy into the bass with Swampsauce every Wednesday and every other weekend on 6th street as well as the guitar with "Flashback" in Austin and Dallas.
