I love going to watch Plymouth Argyle play. They may not be a dominant force in world football but we nearly held Real Madrid to a draw in a pre season match.Apart from that I used to be a very good competitive swimmer so I still take an interest in the sport. I also like most forms of motorsport but mainly rallying and touring cars because F1 is like a 10W light bulb - dull.
Anyone really. Providing your not going to try and murder my family and steal all my possessions then I'm open minded!
Time for an update..
Well, the Killers gig was amazing. Worth every second and more of the five hour round trip. It was the last gig of the UK leg of the tour they really put on a damn good show. Off to Cardiff again soon for a good old piss up - a long trip I know but it's somewhere different to Plymouth.
The next event to look forward to is Plymouth Argyles biggest game in the last 23 years - an FA Cup quarter final tie against the Premierships basement club, Watford. I queued for 5 hours in the wind and rain to get the tickets for this so it better be worth it.Apart from that there isn't much to tell - had a good weekend of 6 Nations rugby [during which far too much Guinness was consumed], going to watch Argyle vs Stoke City tomorrow and apart from that doing more bloody coursework for Uni. Ah well, can't complain, it has to be done.
Anyone who hasn't done this yet, try and get yourself the top spot. Kayleigh has set you all a massive target and is currently beating my mother, my brother and an ex-girlfriend. Go on, see how you do...
Borat, Borat, Borat, Borat... I'm going to keep saying it until you get up off your fat lazy arse and go and see this film. Borat.
As for the rest, hmmmm... A bit more difficult here. I like watching movies but I can never remember which one was which or who was in it!!
As a rule I like most Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill) films, I think Stanley Kubrick was a genious (Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket) and I like Michael Caine (Educating Rita, The Italian Job, Zulu).
Anything else as long as it makes me laugh, cry, contemplate the meaning of life or jump out of my seat gets my vote.
..
I only really watch TV for sport or comedy. Sky Sports News is my lifeline to the world of football. If it's comedy then nothing much beats Scrubs and of course the classic Only Fools and Horses.I'm also a fan of Futurama - sooo much better than the Simpsons in my opinion.I have the box set of Blackadder to work my way through - Baldrick is a role model of mine - and also got Planet Earth on DVD recently so will educate myself with that one.
I like autobiographical works. It always seems more entertaining when I know what I'm reading about actually shaped someone into who they are today. "Behind the White Ball" by Jimmy White was interesting as was Dennis Waterman's "ReMinder". For Christmas I got Duncan Bannatyne's book and also Robbie Fowlers which should both be good reads.Apart from that the best book I've ever read was "The Diceman" by Luke Rhinehart. Would you let the role of a dice decide 100% of the choices in your life? Read this and find out what kind of tangents it could take you on.
Difficult one this - no heroes as such but people I really admire include Bill Shankly, the legendary Liverpool manager, the swimming coaches that belived in me over my time in the sport, my mum - doing a great job for the last 17 years since my dad passed away - RIP Dad - and my friends who put up with my terrible sense of humour almost everyday, most recently Kayleigh - you somehow managed to put a smile on my face again after years of shit. Thanks
