JO$E Born August 1st. 1986 in Toledo, Ohio. Named after his Great Grandfather by his Father , Musician Drummer,guitarist Leonard J. Williams .Jose grew up in a house filled with music so it was natural that he took to it at an early age.His father begin to notice that he could mimic certain instruments with his voice in perfect pitch,as he would try to sing along with the Tv,radio or any source that played music. His father put drum sticks in his hands while he was still in diapers ,Holding him on his knee by his diaper Jose would bang away at the drums while his dad played the bass drum. By the time he was 4 he was able to reach the drum pedal by standing and playing the whole set.By the age of 8 he often went on shows with his father who at that time had started a Reggae Band serving as his dads drum tech Playing the drums for sound checks. He also had playing time in his dads recording studio performing with other musicians who were there to record.When he attended Scott High School in 2000 ,he was a walk on at the Band Camp ,Gaining an instant position playing Cymbals moving on quickly to play snare , bass ,and tenor drums for the next three years. Playing in numerous competitions and parades including trips to Houston Texas ,New York City to play at the Statue of Liberty an other venues .Then in his senior year a trip to the Bahamas to play on the island and the cruise ship upon graduating in June of 2004 he began to pursue his music career. Working with various local Toledo musicians including his older brother he began to hone his writing and music skills .At the end of 2004 decided it was time to go solo, and started working on his debut album, Then There Was Me ,Bringing to the table a fresh style to the genre of hip-hop.His influences range from Ludacris, Bob Marley,Jamiroqui,Dr. Dre and Outkast and from his father Reggae , Rock ,Jazz ,Blues , R&B and Old School Jams .With his first release Dreamin he hoped to send a positive message to young and old alike that like his father always told him you can do whatever you put your mind too.You won't find any derogatory lyrics about women ,sex or body parts in JO$E'S music, like whats in the majority of songs out there today ,He tries to keep his a class act . In the process of working on his album he is working to finance his cd to have it ready for a possible spring release. In search for a potential label outside of his home town due to negative critisism JO$E looks to get signed to a label that will let him enhance his artistic freedom and bring a different stlye to the music industry. With hot tracks off his album such as Huslters mind, Wrap it up, and Guilty JO$E's lyrical content can touch on age groups from teens to adults. The blend of hip-hop, jazz, and reggae are some of the features that makes his music stand out compared to artist who are using nothing but samples to this day. Working out of his fathers studio in there home JO$E has wrote and produced all the music on his album.Demand J.O.$.E with Eventful! ..
