Born and raised in Kingston,Jamaica. I came to New York with my family in 1991. Been drawing and painting ever since I was a child. In high school art class was my sanctuary, my escape from what I found to be a completely meaningless education. When my brother got into Columbia and my father moved up to brooklyn, I would go to the city every chance got. To the art galleries,the nyabinghis in Prospect Park, the hip hop shows, the film screenings any exposure that I could get. Met a lot of artists at Columbia and had my first experience working on a film with them. Went to SUNY Purchase for college. Majored in the Visual Arts. With a concentration in printmaking. started making films in college with a super 8 mm camera. From there it was all over. That's why I'm Giving thanks to the most high. Yes only those who believe in Death Die! And we shall live on forI-ver and I-ver and I-ver. I know this. I've beared witness to it nuff times. Somehow fear still comes around and I be believing the story. Yes ever striving, only going upwards now. Trying to stay positive all the time is the big challenge. Not letting anything influence I in this time
