I'm 34. I sing Barbershop . I am in a Quartet (website coming soon). I quit CBS Radio, so I am back to freelancing again (and doing graphic design work for my husband's company ). Hopefully I won't be one paycheck again from homelessness again. I also have the best family in the world. I seriously do.
I live on Long Island, NY. I was relocating to Arizona, but now I'm not. I finally sold my house. Right in time for the housing prices to drop. We got out just in time. We now live in a really nice apartment and are happily paying rent again. And all my bills are paid off. Bonus!
I would say that I'm a writer, but that requires one to actually -write-. So I'm more of a thinker. I somehow am under the delusion that if I think about a story hard enough, it will eventually write itself. So far this system has not worked for me. I'll let you know if that changes.
I'm obsessive compulsive. One of my favorite hobbies is stalking B-list celebrities, and my habits have made me be on a first name basis of the cast and crew of the now canceled television show "Third Watch". Jason Wiles was on the set of a new movie, and he told a friend of mine (who drove 8 1/2 hours to try to be at the set), that: "I love Mona. She's great." Apparently, I'm a legend in more than my own mind.
Now that Third Watch is over, I'll be looking for a new obsession. But in the meantime, I'll just be over here, singing a tag, and humming a tune.
