Bladlus

Anders loved three things; fat, more fat and noise. When moving out, his flat-mates, Ludde and Andreas, decided to serve him an extra fat-pizza with melted butter and cheese on the side as well as offering him a disc with home-made songs. Anders spent the whole night commenting what a significant advancement melted butter on pizza was. He never uttered a word about the cd. On the other side of the table, Ludde and Andreas were immensly excited. They had found a new passion - Bladlus was born.The normal recording sessions took place before going out partying and the subjects dealt with what had happened lately in the flat or letters received.After almost five years of existance, a significant milestone was reached when more than 15 people had said that they acctually did not think all songs were crap. Boosted with confidence, this page was created.The band still consists of Andreas and Ludde both playing a number of instruments as well as singing/rapping on the tracks. Guest artists, such as Ludde's mom and Andreas brother, have also participated in some recordings. We have recorded five CD’s, three EPs and one single to date. New songs are being recorded every now and then but Ludde moving to Belgium two years ago made the recording sessions less frequent (but more intense). Over the years the songs have changed a bit but the two main themes remain: Letters sung over simple music and totally improvised songs on what has happened lately (e.g. Post LP-huvudvärk about Ludde's spinal tap, Jag var kryssad about Andreas headache, and Fru Alga about how Andreas' mom threw away some DVDs). We have also recorded some more traditional songs with actual written lyrics (e.g. Gör Krabban about how to dance like a crab).Bladlus records new songs whenever the chance comes along. Almost all of the recordings are done in one take. Only under rare circumstances, such as technical problems, is a second take done. We have done one show (New years eve 03/04) and no others are planned. Only twice, has Bladlus played the same song at different occassions.
