The Television Of Cruelty

About Me

There's only so many times you can read Jean-Paul Sartre before you start getting.... sick.

The Television Of Cruelty's chief vocalist and songwriter, Ian Williams, has been banging out songs for longer than Amy Winehouse can remember (might not be saying much).

TVC's first album, "Season 2", has been described as "some of the most English music on the planet". We think this means that all the songs are miserable. Fair enough. Second album "lower england" is, according to veteran reviewer Toxic Pete, "superbly entertaining, stunningly crafted, sensitively performed - exquisite, breathtaking and just so bloody refreshing!!" 'Nuff said.

Brand new album, "Dead Sea Shanties" is described by the band themselves as the "renaissance of the rock concept album". Surely, they can't be serious?...
