About Me

I started DJ’ing during the late 70’s following an apprenticeship to one of the most popular sound systems in Kingston, capital of Jamaica. When a colleague didn’t turn up SUPADON had his box of records ready and stepped filled the gap and rocked the house. He didn’t look back. Residencies at a number of top Kingston nightclubs followed and throughtout the late 80’s his set began to include house, funk, R&B as well as the obligatory Jamaican staples of reggae and “ragga”.On moving to London I was soon behind the desks again, this time working on the underground gay black scene promoting parties and Djing. I soon was invited to join the team of DJ’s (alongside Princess Julia and Luke Howard) at the legendary QUEER NATION club on Sundays at the Gardening Club from 1995 and followed the club to its new home on Saturdays at Substation South where he is still resident DJ alongside such noteworthy guests as Matt “Jam” Lamont, DJ Spoony (Dreem Teem), and U.S DJ’s Kerri Chandler, Tedd Patterson and Thick Dick.SUPADON is much in demand as a guest DJ at MINISTRY OF SOUND, CAFÉ DE PARIS, SUBTERANIA, HEAVEN, SOUND & the legendary venues TURNMILLS & HACIENDA.I have been a popular and frequent guest overseas including France and Germany and hosted his weekly QUEER NATION MIX RADIO SHOW for RADIO FG in PARIS and has played at the LE GIBUS and RED LIGHT on many occasions.
