About Me

............................................................ ............................................................ ...........Born and raised in Verona, Italy I started playing drums at age of 11, playing along with Beatles, Stones and The Shadows but was a struggle... after 10 minutes the neighborhood was calling my apt complaining.... and ask to stop the NOISE. I've kinda quit drums but I kept listening to a lot of records.. listening so much that I could play it in my head like a MP3. At 14 I attended the State Conservatory of Classical Music in Bolzano, Italy for 5 years and I didn't played drums at all but a lot of instruments like Marimba, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Timpani. After some nice chamber music and orchestra experience at 19 I started to be very interested on drums and I started working "on the field" with a dixieland jazz band and some jazz combos. I moved from jazz music to the pop rock experience, playing different gigs with different bands. 4-5 gigs per week with sometimes no rehearsal. I played with an italian reggae band (REGGADELICA), a cover band (EASY LOVERS), original rock bands (CASO CONTRARIO and OSMOSI) a blues trio (BLUES FEVER), a 5 pieces rock'n'roll band (THE CARSON TRUCKER BAND) a Jimi Hendrix tribute band (VOODOO GROOVE) and I worked as sit-in drummer for many others. Around the same time I started studying drums with MAXX FURIAN (one of today's top drummers in Italy). I went also to Rome to get some lessons from AGOSTINO MARANGOLO, a legend! In the 2000 I came to NYC for the first time to study with DOM FAMULARO. Dom helped me a lot during the hard times and he convinced to move to USA to challenge myself. While I was in back in Italy I translated his drum book "IT'S YOUR MOVE" in Italian (translation available on line at http://domfamularo.com I also suggest to read the motivational book "THE CYCLE OF SELF EMPOWERMENT" by Dom. Then I moved here in NYC... after walking dogs and working in a restaurant to raise money, get a new drum set, rent a studio for practice etc..etc.. I'm starting my career again. I'm currently member of a new NY based pop rock band named "FURLY". I'm playing drums for the upcoming artist SIMON SPIRE which his debut CD "All or nothing" has been released a couple of months ago. Check out his music he rocks! I've recently played with Geffen recording artist MATT WHITE for few gigs in Canada. Playing also for the talented Neil Shah (check him out!). ............................................................ ............................................................ ...........
