About Me

If you're on my friend list you should already know a little about me. But if you don't, Miranda Hobbes of Sex and the City is the closest you'll get to knowing a bit about my personality. Besides, aren't the rest of the sections for YOU to read and find out "about me?"

The sorting hat says that I belong in Ravenclaw!

My Interests

..Music, movies, books, writing, video games, sports (Mostly as a spectator), cooking, learning about different things, board games, loving my husband, my friends and my family.

I'd like to meet:

Nobody that I don't already know and I'm married already so when my husband and I make red-curly-haired babies, I'll meet them when they come. Famous people that I admire are more than welcome to add ME on their list. But I wouldn't mind meeting Alex Trebek, Steven Spielberg, Carrie Fisher, Anderson Cooper and J.K Rowling (Rowling like bowling). Internet perverts stay away. ...................................................

Music:

I'm mostly stuck in the 80s and 90s but I LOVE all kinds of music and artists(Heavy metal, punk, Pre-1998 Rap, Oldies, etc; from Alice in Chains to Madonna to Dead Kennedys). Check out the playlist just below from www.last.fm. All are my picks and some of my personal favorites. Just hit the PLAY button...

Movies:

..Absolutes: Star Wars Episodes IV-VI, All Lord of the Rings, All Harry Potter, All Indiana Jones, The Princess Bride, E.T. The Extraterrestrial, Before Sunrise, Chasing Amy, A League of Their Own, Truth or Dare, Before Sunset, Heathers, Dog Fight, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Boogie Nights, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Scarface, Dogma, The Godfather/The Godfather II, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Stand By Me, Ghost World, Superbad, Juno. I like them well-written, well-directed and well-acted and thought provoking but there's guilty pleasures out there like BASEketball or Mr. Deeds that I enjoy as well.

Television:

..TBS, The Learning Channel, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, The History Channel, CNN, Anderson Cooper 360, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, Sportscenter, Baseball Tonight; The Sopranos, Big Love. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, X-Files, Friends, The Simpsons, South Park, The King of Queens, The Facts of Life, 21 Jump Street, Roseanne, Everybody Loves Raymond, Prison Break, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, and many other shows that were on when sitcoms ruled primetime or that I own on boxed sets.

Books:

..Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, The Shining by Stephen King and ALMOST anything by him, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk (It was a book before it became a movie), Wiseguy by Nicolas Pileggi (Goodfellas was based on this book), Chicana Falsa and other stories of death, identity, and Oxnard by Michele Serros, Judy Blume books, almost ANYTHING by Sydney Sheldon.

Heroes:

My mom--Though not perfect, proof that women are stronger. Hermione Granger--She's not just another pretty girl, she's got brains too!... And how could I forget Princess Leia. One of my early female role models even though I didn't know it. She took the "damsel in distress" to a whole different dimension. "Somebody has to save our skins."

My Blog

January is blah.

I work for the United States Postal Service and it really bothers me when people joke about "going postal" or any kind of joke about the post office regarding violence. I know it's...
