"The Crooner"

About Me

For those that have my CD, allow me first to address the song Paul Revere. I was doing a private party in Huntington Beach. The folks I was performing for had a 1961 Impala! They had a radio in there playing "Shake a Hand, Shake a Hand" with Wolfman Jack howling in the background! It was great! I said to the owner, "You don't have a car, you have a TIME MACHINE!!" He said that this was the music of his generation. "It still gives ya the chills!" Then he asked me what I listened to when I was a kid. I told him "Dr. Dre and the Beastie Boys. Paul Revere is a tribute the the "New-Old school" or "my generation" of music. But I digress. All of the songs on my CD were recorded over a four hour period! I was told that is unheard of, and the only other person to do that was Sinatra! I will stand proudly by that. So, I call the album "First Takes"! Thanks for listening!!I like to call myself "The Crooner". People have called me a professional I still think of myself as learning, always learning. I believe I'm doing pretty well. At least, I'm doing what I love. I was born in beautiful downtown Burbank...South Dakota~! I spent my childhood doing country boy things on the Roegiers Ranch/ and sometimes Vineyard. I was involved in 4-H. I baled hay, cut wood to keep the family warm and I can shear a sheep! I didn't much care for chores and longed to move away, to the city. I went to collage for a year, not my cup of tea. I knew what I wanted to study. I moved to MANHATTAN to attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy of New York, (or AMDA) A Musical Theater conservatory Best time of my life! Post AMDA I toured with some childrens' musical theater troupes. Not many, but I digress. Then I moved Out West! Los Angeles! Only for a few years, to be chewed up and spat out...... "THAT'S LIFE!" After a three year hiatus, and some domestic training, I have returned to Los Angeles. Being prompted by professionals, I have chosen to throw my hat into the ring of the late and the great "American crooners" among such great names as Sinatra, Bing, and Bobby Darrin! All the "Late Greats!" The first song I ever recorded was "I've got the world on a String" in November 2005. It was played on the air and streaming satalite so some of the most important people outside of LA could listen in. My Family. "It won by a landslide!" the station told me. Allow me to officially say: Thank you to all those that heard it the first time on the air and voted for me! Everyone else, I hope you enjoy the song that I refer to as my "diamond in the rough!"I have a musical kind of voice. But you don't have to take my word for it! Here are some quotes and comments: "Your voice takes me to another time."- "Are you lipsynching?"- (I am not an impostor! I am an intrepolator.) "Sinatra is smiling"- (my personal favorite) "I know your not trying to impersonate him, but it's eerie how much you sound like him.(Frank)"-Ken Karlson of Chicago. "I want to give you MORE money"-Richard Dreyfuss (He tiped me twice!)I also sing with "The Santa Monica Oceanaires". A mens Barbershop choir from the Santa Monica area. Men who enjoy singing are invited to attend. Auditions for the Performance Chorus are held the third Tuesday of every month. For details, please contact us at: [email protected], I enjoy what I do, and I hope you do too.Click on "Mean to me" to see a live performance Mean to me Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

It has helped me develope my voice into a stronger instrument. I really appriciate the people who are encouraging my behavior!
