JMD (Rap Artist) also known as IDEAZ was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. His passion for music was sparked at a very early age. In spite of all the rap music you’re hearing today, JMD is definitely no stranger when it comes to the rap/music industry. As a young boy’ he was inspired by his parents who also had a passion for music. He also gained influence from other hip hop pioneers across the world as well as locally. JMD is exceptionally talented which is exemplified by each and every word he spits.His successful hit “Move Your Body” (the hip house version) produced by Tyree Cooper, made Billboard top 20 on the dance charts and also demanded a tour to the United Kingdom. During that time, the “Move Your Body” video became one of the first top five videos from a Chicago Rap/Hip House artist. The video aired on London England’s local television stations and also other parts of the United Kingdom. Shortly thereafter, JMD produced his next single, “Get Up and Dance”, which was another hit single played primarily in the UK. Although it wasn’t the very first single he produced, it was his first to go nationwide, with a massive fan base.JMD, a hustler then and a hustler now created ways of making money. One way was rappin’ on Chicago El trains where he set the trend for other Chicago rappers. Fact not fiction, check your history on Chicago Hip Hop. For those of you who know the real…keep it real. The radio station WHPK where JMD was a regular guest heard live, rappin’ “slaughterin’ cats” and dee jayin’ “dawggin’ the wax”. Not to mention they were Chicago’s first number one underground hip hop radio station to play rap and support Chicago rappers when other local stations dissed it. Also, WNUR, WCRX, WKKC (R.I.P. Pink House), B96, WGCI (R.I.P. Disco Dave) followed by Power 92. A special thanks goes out to God (the Creator), family, friends and fans.
