I am a New Zealand/Aotearoa born artist. A modern artist, I have several different artistic styles. As a painter, I have adopted neo-expressionism, conceptualism, assemblage and street art as my tools of counter-culture communication.The ideology behind my work, is centred around the notion that; "Graffiti art is the pychological backlash from the ruling majorities' tools of mind control via mass media advertising." In a capitalistic world, the difference between graffiti and advertising is one pays for the space it consumes.In saying this, my work is iconoclastic in a sense that I choose to use public space as my support and means of claiming back space. My work plays with subliminal and psychological symbology.
